The Humble Dreams Alliance program empowers teens and young adults transitioning from foster care and temporary housing to succeed in higher education and entrepreneurial pursuit.
In 2020, the Precious Dreams Foundation and The BKLYN Combine created the Humble Dreams Alliance to holistically address and combat hardships faced by young people transitioning out of foster care and temporary housing facilities. The program offers educational support, scholarships, assistance with entrepreneurial endeavors, and mental health resources for youth 17-24.
Pathways to success
humble dreams alliance
The 2023-2024 cohort consists of 20 young people living in homeless shelters and temporary housing throughout New York City and LA County. 100% of our cohort members are Black & Brown young adults. We connect each youth to resources to ensure their needs are met for education, mental health support, job skill training, and more. In small group settings, we give youth a personalized success plan and ensure their most basic needs are met.

"I really enjoyed the Humble Dreams Alliance program. And trust me all your sacrifices will not be in vain. You’ll see the fruit of what you saw in five years from now. I promise."

"I came into this not knowing what type of program this was going to be but I appreciated hearing all of the speakers and I enjoyed my time. Meeting other people in my age range in similar situations meant a lot...and I have a great mentor in Susan and I don't think I'm going to let her go. I didn't know what was my worth and I'm so glad I had someone to guide me."
